Petco

Beware if you place an online order. I ordered a jacket for a friends dog and what I received was a dirty, well worn jacket that had obviously been returned. It did not have any tags on it. When I got home and opened the bag, I immediately saw how dirty it was. When I returned it to the store, the cashier, who had also picked the item, asked for the reason for the return. I told her the jacket was disgusting and she said "it's the only one we had left" I told her that I wish she'd canceled the order and saved me another trip. She shrugged and said maybe the next truck would have cleaner jackets. I will not be returning to find out.

I wanted to say the employee Kayleena was extremely helpful and super friendly and understanding. I didn’t know you had to apply the petco points/ rewards to use at the checkout and I asked Kayleena and she explained how to use it. She showed me how I actually had rewards that expire today and to log in to the app and she’d show me how to apply. I’m originally from Cali and was used to getting told I had rewards. For a year now I was so confused why I didn’t have any to the point I honestly thought I messed up on making an account. But I’m so happy she helped me through this. She was amazing!

I love Petco, the staff is always very helpful and friendly. I love the variety of items in the stores and I particularly love the shelter donation and adoption programs that Petco hosts, but I'm giving a 3 star rating instead of 5 stars because of some of the practices at Petco such as shipping Beta fish from overseas and keeping them in the small plastic tupperware containers until someone buys them or they die. Many of them do not look well, which I'm sure could be helped by a better living situation/container until they are adopted. This is a cruel practice for a business that is supposedly invested in the welfare and care of animals.

Had them do my dogs nails. She’s a shepherd puppy and very reactive. She get nervous during nail trims and can be a lot to handle. They were able to get her nails done perfectly in 5 mins. They were able to calm my dog right down and get it done. Highly recommended

The employee was a woman who said she’s worked there for many years. She sure did know a lot of details about what I was inquiring about. I went in looking for specific info on specific snails and also was told elsewhere about a certain kind of wafer for the ones I have ended up with. The employee here at Petco has a wealth of knowledge and cooled a lot of details about each type of snail so that I’d know what they need and everything. I hit snails by surprise on plants over the years, so I guess I’ve hit about 3-4 different types now in my three aquariums. Now I am informed about how to assure that they’re eating enough and everything. I left with a lot of info o had no idea about in all my 35 years of aquariums! Thank you!
