Great selection on so many different animals and their needs. Quality product and I actually had amazing customer service here. It's rare to have staff come out and offer assistance. Thanks to the employee who pointes us towards the multiple opinions for watering fountains. Found what we hope will be perfect for our needs.

I purchased a rat for my daughter and it died 7 days later. After it died we saw the lice crawling all over it looking for a new host. I called them right away and told them it died. I took his body there for a refund the next day, which they did give me. They told me they haven't had this issue in the last 6 months and when they looked at the others with a flashlight they didn't see anything. I tried to explain how to look for lice and that using a flashlight is not correct. They need to use a lice comb or brush against the hair to look down to the skin as they are blood sucking lice. Neither employee seemed to care enough to re-examine the rats and said they had a call into their vet. They had not sold any rats since I purchased mine and have marked them not for sale. I was happy to see that this location gives their animals fresh veggies! Employees were nice and happy to talk about the animals too. I'm glad to see petco is taking initiative to give animals a better diet
