Pet Supplies Plus Huntsville Midtown

I walked in looking for help since the bearded dragon I bought from them just a week ago had died and couldn’t find anybody. I finally saw someone coming out of the back. I asked if she could help me and she acted as if I was bothering her. Blonde girl, was later told by an employee she was the manager, Rachel I think. I will not come back or recommend.

My local Pet Plus store in Midtown is the absolute best! They employees are very informative and super helpful and nice. Alyssa is the best groomer. She has been grooming my laberdoodle Teddy for over a yr now. She does awesome and Teddy loves her. Doddles is her jam because everytime i take my Teddy in she always has a Poddle or Doddle in her station. She gets 5 stars from me for her service and attitude.

I’ve gotten 2 great hamsters from here that lived 2+ healthy years. I’ve also gotten long-lasting, high quality toys for my dogs here. The staff is also always great and helpful. However, although they may have a picture of a Pekingese on their wall by the salon, they cannot groom pekingeses! In 2022 they took 2+ days to do our 11 y/o Pekingese’s fur and he was given an uneven puppy-cut which took months to grow out. I’m not sure where in Huntsville good haircuts for Pekingeses are provided, but I would not recommend this place.

*Edit a little over two years later: I’ve continued having my dog groomed at this location since that first time. The staff is always super friendly and understanding when I need to reschedule. They always do their best to accommodate my requests even though my dog is difficult. Alyssa in particular is so nice to my dog and really does her best to make her look as good as possible—which is really hard because my dog is terrible 🫣😂 I have an almost 3 year old doodle that has never been to a groomer before. When I dropped her off with Selena she was terrified and even though I trusted the staff it was very hard to leave her as I’d never seen her so scared before—she even growled at the staff! I’ve never seen her growl before! The dog I picked up a few hours later was the dog I’m used to see

Absolutely love this store. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly! While I was shopping, two employees approached me in the aisle and offered help and advice, which is unheard of in the big box pet stores. I’ll never step foot in a Petco again!
