Pet Pal Animal Shelter

A big thank you to all the staff at Pet Pal Animal Shelter! We recently adopted a dog from this shelter and they were great about helping us find a good match for our family. It was clear that everyone here truly cares about the well being of their dogs and cats and finding each one a loving home. We feel lucky to have found the Pet Pal Shelter and our newest family member!

Clean, well staffed, friendly staff. We felt welcome. We came to see the cats, who seem happy and content in their room, although there are many of them, would love to see them go to food homes. They are well cared for. I was surprised to learn that the one thing they're in need of constantly and gets to be most costly is Cat Litter- so we donated a box. I'm sure it doesn't last long here. Come visit, and help another non profit doing so many food things for the cats and dogs of this community.

This place is beyond concerning.They make over 3 million a year (check their 990 forms) yet the money isn't used on the animals but to pay employees over 6 figures. The animals have been kept in the same building for forever. Small tight spaces for animals with no greenery. Dark and cold overnight with no outdoor space. The "manager" Scott is also on the board of directors, is the treasurer and is a trustee but pretends to be the manager. They are rude, condescending and confrontational. These report reports have been confirmed by dozens of people in the community and it’s heartbreaking for the animals. There are soo many rescues out there doing so much better work out there that you should support! Their response is cold and calculating and they know full well the abuse they have done an

I adopted my kitty there, Tito. He was fixed, vaccinated and ready for adoption. The front desk workers were very nice, friendly and supportive. They gave me a lot of coupons to buy cat’s food and services discounts, two cans of wet food and first doctor appointment free. The adoption fee was $40. The facility is very clean, pets here are well taken care of.

Such a great experience at Pet Pal! I went in ~just to look~ and found the sweetest & quietest dog in the entire place, Velma. Her calm demeanor grabbed my attention and as soon as I asked to see her I was told “she’ll crawl right into your lap”. The staff let me spend one-on-one time with her and walk her outside. I could immediately see her becoming more comfortable with me and I knew I couldn’t leave her there. She was so happy when we got home to run around my backyard! I’m so happy I was approved to take her home. The staff was kind and answered all my questions & I could tell they were so happy but so sad to see this sweet girl leave!
