Pet Haven

Over the past 3 years we have been returning exclusively to Cal for fish, aquatic plants and other needs for our tanks. What sold my young daughter was the care Cal takes when catching the fish. He never stresses the animals out like larger chain stores tend too. Cal is always willing to answer question or talk animals with the customers and is always excited to see pictures of how your tanks are progressing. We always look forward to our visits to Pet Haven and Cal.

Been buying my fish/shrimp/aquarium plants from this store for a year now. Great knowledge, customer service, and excellent pricing. No pressure sales either when visiting. My boys always ask to come to the store just to look at the fish and say Hi! I will definitely recommend Pet Haven. Thanks!!

Excellent selection of beautiful, healthy fish that are really top notch quality. They have smaller ones as well as the larger African and South American cichlids. I was impressed! I also saw some really adorable rabbits and guinea pigs. The owner is awesome too.

The man is really kind and I’m sure he didn’t mean any harm, but my pet parakeet died in only 1 week. I actually bought the parakeet for a higher price here, because I thought that means the bird is “healthier” but it’s not true, if she was gonna die so quickly I could’ve bought her at pet smart. I noticed she already had signs of a respiratory infection before I even got her, she was breathing with her mouth open and not moving. I thought maybe it was because she’s scared but she continued to do it. She died this morning I’m sad to say, I will let the owner know I hope he can do something about it. I’m not gonna blame the store completely but this is my experience, I don’t think all his birds are sick.

Best aquarium shop in Metro Detroit. I come all the way from Waterford when I can. I'm definitely overdue. Love the added bonus of the collectibles and other little things that he sells even though it has nothing to do with fish, lol. And it's always a delight talking to the owner Cal. I've been to just about every aquarium shop in the Detroit area you won't find one like this one.
