I adopted my two cats, Chrissy and Chanel from PAAW on 2/16/25, and I am so glad that I did! I had lost my last cat (of 5!) a few months before and I wasn't sure if I was ready to adopt anyone yet. But it felt weird being without any cats after 20 years. I had been looking here and there and saw them. Then they were on a Facebook post for their foster mom's birthday (the BEST foster mom EVER!), and I thought I would miss my chance. So on a whim, I filled out the application with PAAW, figuring it would be at least a few days before I heard anything. Nope! One of my friends who I put as reference messaged already and said that she had already talked to them. It was hardly two hours later! Absolutely AMAZING team at PAAW! We were searching for two new members to add to our pet family, and filled out the application on their website. I was impressed with how thorough the app was, and it was comforting to know how seriously they took the process. They messaged me back very quickly, and then were clear about their process of talking to my references and my vet to ensure the kittens would be coming to a safe, stable, loving home. Our kitten's foster mom, Danielle, was especially incredible, and shared photos, videos, and health updates throughout the process so that we could stay connected to our new babies until we finally brought them home! I would absolutely recommend PAAW. They take the process seriously, for the best interest of the animals in their care, and their love

I adopted Ruby and Lucky from PAAW 6 weeks ago and I feel forever indebted to them. My house was heartbroken after our Lucy died 18 months prior, and I wasn’t sure we could do it again. After a year of discussing with my family, we decided too many cats need good homes to not offer ours. I went online to find out when Avocato Cafe was open to visit, and was redirected to PAAW and immediately fell in love with Ruby and Lucky. The next morning my friends were telling me that they had been contacted. What a wonderful thing that they were actually following up on references!!! That same weekend I had a meet and greet with Melinda the angel foster mom and Ruby and Lucky came home the next week. The professionalism and care that was shown was more than I ever expected. The volunteers at PAAW are some of the most caring people I’ve come across. Going through the process of adopting my cat, Elliot, I could tell how much they cared about the home he was going to every step of the way. Not only were they super friendly and thoughtful, but also very prompt on following up on my application and next steps! I’m so thankful for their time and efforts to help so many animals - and for helping to bring Elliot into my life!

My daughter adopted her kitty here and she had an amazing experience. We met Kristie at a Petco adoption event. We talked with Kristie for at least an hour. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful!
