I took my dog to get his rabies vaccination. He was ok up until the door opened. At that point he he took one sniff and planted all four feet and said, "NO!" Nothing I did could get him through the doors. The sweet lady inside said I could take him back to the car and she would come out to us. He was already in the system from a free vaccination event at a remote site the year before. They pulled his name up, made his tag and brought everything to me at the car! They. Were. Awesome!! Friendly, understanding, and super efficient!

I appreciate the Person County Animal Shelter. My neighbors own 31 cats so the shelter has been a big support. The neighbors stated there are no leash laws for cats so she doesn’t have to be responsible for the damage they cause to her neighbors. I have several scratches all over my cars.

I was on the hunt hard for about two weeks for my Furry friend and just so happened to get out to the Person county animal shelter kind of on a whim because it was a decently long drive from where I live. I had visited and seen about 5-6 other shelters, foster homes, sanctuaries but none of them could compare to this one as far as love and care for the animals within the facility AND customer service! I was able to find a dog that I connected with and knew I couldn’t live without and I hadn’t experienced that feeling during my search until PCAS. The management here picked up on that almost right away! There are lots of amazing dogs here and they are very well taken care of as well! I recommend go checking this place out, be patient as it is a business and put the dog or dogs first. Ultima

I found this dog outside my camper on 06/22 morning, and I brought her to the person county animal shelter, if anyone knows any information about this dog please contact the shelter. She is chipped and from Colorado, named Abby. Hopefully she will find her family, super cute puppy

I have 4 cats, all spayed/neutered, talked to, loved and feed daily. They have a covered shelter with heat in the winter. They all receive flea and tick preventative monthly. Two are indoor/outdoor, two are outdoor except in extreme weather. I crated up the first one and took her to get her rabies shot. I explained that my cats are not used to a lot of people, BUT, all my cats will come up to anyone once they feel comfortable. While the first cat got her shot, I explained how I did have a large black cat that was a handful under any circumstances and I was advised that putting him in a smaller crate or even have-a-hart trap would be better for their staff (and the cat) so the cat would be contained safely. Ok, I understand. So, I go home and get the second cat who just happen to be
