I wanted to write a quick review to counter the negative ones. My experience was not negative, in fact it was an extremely positive one. I'll answer some of the concerns: 1:Yes, the adoption forms are long, but people need to be checked to prove they are who they say they are, and can handle/care for an animal. 2: Yes, the wait is longer than walking into a pet store, but we can wait in line patiently until it's our turn/our day and time to be seen by a volunteer who works for you and the pets. 3: I walked in and yes, one of my first choice cats was already spoken for, but there are plenty of other cats in the shelter and remained optimistic. Truly a remarkable organization that is making the world a better place for four legged friends. We were fortunate enough to recently adopt our newest kitten from PAWS back in September and we couldn’t be happier. The process took some time which is entirely understandable considering the pandemic and how much work the staff is handling on a daily basis but once we received our approval, both my daughter and I went to see some kittens. We were very happy to bring home our little Wolfgang and I am so thankful to PAWS for helping us complete our family!

Great adoption experience. My adoption counselor was so patient and helpful in helping me find my new fur baby Merlin (formerly Panama). You can tell they take great care of all of the animals there. Thank you PAWS 💚

We adopted two wonderful cats (a brother and sister) from PAWS ten years ago. We asked for a “dog-cat” and went home with a cat that came to greet us at the door and played fetch, and his snuggle-bunny sister. As first time pet owners, we won the pet lottery. PAWS presented several cats, helped us make the right choices for our family circumstances, and vetted us thoroughly to make sure we could care for them. Sadly, we lost them both to cancer this past year. When the time is right, we will be returning to see if our next cat is waiting to come home with us. I trust the volunteers at PAWS and their ability to find a match. UPDATE: After getting approved for this round of adoption, we visited PAWS with open hearts and after looking at every. single. adoptable. cat. we adopted "Strawberry"

The adoption process was simple and thorough. Staff and volunteers truly give these fur babies love, care, and a safe place to live. Their genuine passion was evident and warming. Welcome home, Miso! ❤️
