Extremely satisfied in recovering our Squid when a concerned citizen in our neighborhood turned him in. The communication was perfect! And Squid was taken care of immaculately. Thanks for bringing up his vaccinations up to date. We missed him for 3 days, but he is more than happy to sleep on our bed now, purring very loud!

I will never support this organization. They clearly have not learned since 2018 (read the report). This is staff was clearly racist and had no intention on allowing my family to adopt due to our color skin. The condescending staff who have really ruined what used to be a good place. I dont think they actually care about finding these animals a good home. They are too busy judging people the minute they arrive. Two of their staff surrounded our car the minute we came asking what we wanted…Id rather drive to COS than support this establishment. Poor dogs. Time to fire these employees and find ones who care about pets and Pueblo and have the City oversee them again as they have no desire to help these pets.

Paws for Life is a treasure in Pueblo. I can say with 100% certainty that Paws changed my life. They introduced me to my best friend, Sundance, 15 years ago. Sundance, was a dog, in every sense of the word. He loved snoozin' and going for walks, he loved chasing squirrels and snugglin' ...in my world, he was the BEST dog. That dog helped me to become a better person. Since his passing in the spring of 2024, we decided to form a Pet Waste Removal in his honor and donate a percentage of our proceeds each month to Paws. Every month when I stop by Paws for Life, i see people who care deeply for animals. The animals that are taken in at Paws, are not just sheltered, they are given outdoor excercize, walks, playtime, quality food, care and love. These animals are loved like they deserve to be a

As a new resident in 2019, I went to Paws to find a companion for our 6 to 7 pound papa dot upon entering paws we found Bella a mix golden boxer, who knows she sat abruptly with her side to the steel bars, would not give any attention no matter what I tried after looking at others we did a meet and greet with Nilly and they got along Dea the office manager who always smiles knew that I did not have a fence in yard completely explained to me that Bella had been returned three times and she was a runner. I accepted the challenge as did my wife the only thing this place did was give the dog rabies and distemper.. After the loss of Bella in August, we were desperately looking for a companion for our other dog who is very lonely at the time. Our first return to pause was in December 2025, where

I’ve been a fan of PAWS ever since I moved here 7 years ago. The facility is great, the staff are ultra friendly. This is Pueblos only no kill shelter and they do right by their dogs who are hand walked and played with until they get adopted. It’s a super pretty part of town. The picture I’ve posted is from my drone and they weren’t thrilled that I took my drone up on their private property and they (very kindly) asked me to take it elsewhere. I have no ill intent and paws can use this photo for anything they want ❤️
