P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center

We love our pup! We feel that PAWS supported his transition well. This is our third adoption from PAWS, and we have been pleased with all three adoptions.

I want to start by saying that the animals here do seem very well cared for and I’m sure the shelter does their best to get all the animals adopted, but they have a horrendous adoption process/policy. I was approved for a particular cat and had been emailing them back and forth several times all morning about how much I wanted this cat, how I felt like it was a sign, and how I was preparing for said cat. I had an appointment and drove from almost 2 hours away to pick him up only to arrive and find out he was adopted by someone else who wasn’t even there for a cat about 30 minutes before my approved appointment. They said they called me but they dialed the wrong number and didn’t care enough to double check and try again. It was very disappointing and the staff was treating it like it was n

I think this is one of the best rescue organizations I've worked with. I have now adopted my two feline fur babies from P.A.W.S. and they were great to work with to find just the right fit for our household. My latest kitten was born from a feral mother, and she and her siblings were very timid. The P.A.W.S. staff did a very good job gently separating her, and I worked hard at home to socialize her. I look forward to when we add a P.A.W.S. canine buddy to the farmstead.

Within a 2 month period I brought them a feral kitty (not indoor potential) and adopted a kitty who had been feral. Both experiences were great. The animals were being provided exceptional care and the staff were very pleasant. And my new cat is a great fit in my home.

We recently adopted a sweet young cat from the shelter. The written description of the cat was spot on. We've had many shelter cats over the years and the adoption experience at P.A.W.S. was wonderful. Would not hesitate to recommend them or to adopt another fur baby from them again. Update: we've adopted a second torti cat from them as of 01/03/26. We can't say enough kind things about this shelter and the wonderful job they do for the animals.
