Friendly, compassionate staff who took excellent care of my border collie after he injured himself. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease. His issue was quickly identified, the treatment plan was clearly explained, and we were in and out efficiently without ever feeling rushed. It was incredibly refreshing to have such a smooth, positive experience on a Saturday morning. Especially without an appointment. I’m so grateful for the care my dog received and cannot recommend Patriot Paw Animal Hospital enough!

Dr. Bruening and the entire staff are amazing. Initial scheduling process, check-in, the exam and check-out it was easy. They make you feel welcome. The communication about cost and care are all very upfront giving you options. They deserve way more than 5 stars!

I rarely give five stars on a review but these ladies earned it and then some. A young lady found a puppy about fifty pounds that was laying in the middle of a road. Clearly the dog had been hit by a car. She was able to get it in her car and made a public post on Facebook, asking for financial assistance. She knew the dog had to get to the vet. She also knew that the dog was critically hurt and it was going to be expensive. I connected with her and we met at Patriot Paws Animal hospital. From the lovely technician who came out to the car to assist us with getting the dog into the clinic, to the technician who came into assess the dog for the preliminary assessment, to doctor Bruening who came in to give us the treatment plan, we couldn't have found a kinder place to be. Highly recommend this facility to anyone in Sumter needing vet care. We were able to get an appointment quickly. Everyone from front office staff, to Morgan (the vet tech) and Dr.Bruening were compassionate, friendly, and made us feel like they genuinely care. The rooms were very clean, the whole place was designed very well. Dr.Bruening was very knowledgeable and down to earth, getting on my level to explain things. Overall an excellent experience, we are so glad to get this veterinary care in Sumter!!
