Pappy's Pet Lodge - The Colony

Unprofessional, rude, and overall inconsiderate. My family dog had red eyes along with scars along the body. The staff response was nonchalant and dismissive. I immediately took our family dog to the veterinarian, which had to provided treatment, and reported this business to my contacts at The Anti-Cruelty Society. This specific franchise location does reflect the company's values. This is not a place for dog lovers, and their handling of my family dog was completely unethical and unacceptable. The staff response was at best unprofessional and at worst simply disgusting. As a dog lover and vocal advocate, no dogs should be treated within this manner.

We have been taking our dogs to Pappy's for 20 years. My dog went in to be groomed, and it was horrible. Felt bad for the young inexperienced groomer, but my husband was upset. We both were. The groomer sliced my dog's ear and shaved off his beard and wiskers (we have a terrier mix). The ear is permanently damaged but healing. My husband called to talk to the manager and was blown completely off. It's been almost two weeks and no response. We've been boarding our dog here since he was a puppy but will be finding a new establishment. They can't be trusted will my dog's care.

I cannot say enough great things about our experience with Pappy’s Per Lodge! We have three very different dogs—a sweet 15-year-old Shih Tzu who needs extra TLC, a high-energy young Husky, and a smart, active Border Collie—and somehow, the amazing team here managed to care for each one perfectly. From the moment we dropped them off, I felt completely at ease. The staff clearly understood and embraced the unique needs of each dog, and it showed in how happy they were when we picked them up. Our senior pup came home rested and well-loved, while the younger two clearly got plenty of stimulation and attention. It’s rare to find a place that can handle such a range of personalities and needs so gracefully. We’ll definitely be back—thank you for treating our dogs like your own!

Pappys is amazing!!! All of the workers are so nice and helpful. The area is neat and tidy. I love how they send you pictures of your dog when they are there!! My Molly loves it there.
