We were so thankful to find Dr. Lim again after she left her previous clinic. Our senior dog, Mook, was diagnosed with severe kidney disease in March 2024. Another vet even suggested putting him down, but thanks to Dr. Lim’s compassionate and careful care — always gentle and cautious due to his kidney and heart conditions — he’s still doing well. We recently celebrated his second birthday since the diagnosis, which felt like a true gift. These days, we mainly visit for acupuncture. After each session, his stiff walk becomes more relaxed, and he seems noticeably more comfortable and active — plus he loves the special treat Dr. Lim gives him! The entire team at Palms & Paws Veterinary Center is incredibly caring and attentive, and we always feel genuinely supported every time we visit. W

Palms & Paws provided exceptional care during an incredibly difficult experience. I was new to LA without an established vet when my cat suddenly became very sick, and their team met us with compassion and professionalism from the start. Dr. K was thoughtful and thorough in diagnosing Gizmo’s kidney disease and consistently checked in with a calm, reassuring presence. Their team even checked up on us over the weekend, while he was declining rapidly, and talked me through getting him care at an ER vet. When it came time for the difficult conversation about saying goodbye, Dr. McEvilly handled it with honesty and empathy. It was our first visit here with our new puppy, and we had such a great experience! Dr. K was very friendly, patient, and took the time to answer all of our questions. The clinic is very nice and clean, and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were easy, and we didn’t have to wait long at all. We’re so happy to have found this clinic and feel confident bringing our puppy here for future visits!

Friends of mine who bring their dogs here recommended Palms & Paws to me and I was in the market for a new vet. The location is super convenient for Westsiders. The clinic is lovely and the staff is really wonderful from the staff at the front desk to the vets and their vet techs. Dr. McKelvey took a lot of time with me and my dog, explaining everything concerning his chronic ear infections. He, in fact, made special arrangements to see us because he knew I’d had a previously frustrating experience - it is clear that he really cares about his animal patients and their owners.

I never thought I would be back to Palms & Paws, but I did give them a fair and honest rating of 3 on my last review. I decided I would give them one more chance doing something I thought they could handle. My first rating of 3 was a gift. It means satisfactory. It was truthful and clear. This time we called and they said they could handle the issue, so we called today to make an appointment and they will not see us--I guess they don't like the truth. Now they have ever right to not like a review and instead of responding to it, to just try to erase that person, but that is rude and not wise. And they were so rude on the phone. We were shocked. They could have been decent and nicely said we did not care for your 3 stars on Yelp so we think it best not to see you. We would have said than
