The director of this place is a joke. He doesn't know what the foster contract says, he actually doesn't know what a foster even is! They denied my foster his vet prescribed medication for a week! Idk when or if I ever would have received it, I quit after I was threatened with police charges for trespassing and theft when I went to get food for my foster dogs (and a box of clay litter that the sanctuary has never used,that was on the community shelf that has been a resource for fosters and volunteers for years). It's in the contract that they do provide food for fosters. I was told I was harming the animals by taking the cat litter, I was told there a policy change, but that was never communicated to myself or ANY dog fosters. This organization operates more like a cat hoarding colony than a rescue. They don’t seem genuinely interested in finding loving homes for their cats — it feels more about control than care. Their adoption contract even states that they remain the legal owners of the cat, even after adoption, and can reclaim it at any time. I filled out an adoption application on their website after seeing their cry for help post on Facebook. Shortly after, they demanded I provide veterinary records for my cat who passed away six to seven years ago. They even contacted that old vet’s office — which, of course, no longer had those records — because that was seven years ago when I was saying goodbye to my 16-year-old baby. My first experience with Our Farm Sanctuary was in 2021 when I adopted my first cat from them. Since then I've returned to adopt and started volunteering/ fostering. The care the volunteer team puts in is amazing, my latest foster has been hard on me emotionally but the team has been so supportive and helpful. Our Farm Sanctuary is definitely my happy place and I can't wait to see how it grows in years to come.

The BEST rescue/sanctuary ever! Great to deal with for animal rescue/placement. Lots of fundraisers for food and medical care. Had a Holiday Bazaar, Christmas Miniature class, 3D Valentine class to be held Feb 10th, and lots of open house time to meet all the animals. Go visit and take home a best friend (my Bear is an alumni)!

Our family decided to start fostering to honor the life of my dog we lost in November 2024. On Valentine's Day 2025, we were blessed with the opportunity to foster Bob and Ted, the sweetest 8 week old puppies from a shelter in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Four days later, they tested positive for parvovirus. We were required to give them all of their medications at home with no formal training. As the puppies continued to decline I reached out for help from OFS and was told to take Ted to Care Center. After Ted received one day of care at Care Center, OFS decided they would not pay for any additional care for Ted. Wanting to give these boys a fighting chance, I decided that I would pay the remainder of what OFS wouldn't. Long story short, when we get to the end of the road, OFS refused to pay
