Buyer beware. Their website and registration system are extremely confusing. I found a class online that showed 8 available spots. I clicked “Register Now,” entered my information and my dog’s vaccine details, and was prompted to pay immediately to secure my spot. I paid and received a confirmation email. Three days later, I was told my registration was being canceled because the class is for members only. If that’s the case, why was I able to complete the entire registration and payment process without ever being told membership was required? To make matters worse, they are not issuing a full refund and are keeping a “cancellation fee” for a class they canceled on me.
I love this club You don't have to be a member and it's still insanely cheap. You go to class once a week. And they tell you what you need to work on and you practice it in class. I love that you're in the ring with your puppy or dog and you're with other owners and you're all learning together. I love that. It's an easy registration that you do online. Then show up on the day of. Everyone is so friendly and all the teachers are wonderful and patient. My weimaraner loves it.
Run by some of the most judgemental bullies. If your dog does not meet the ideal standards for what they're looking for they will relentlessly bully you and belittle you. It is absolutely absurd and ridiculous. A friend of mine is a member who has come back in literal tears on multiple occasions due to the horrendous behavior of their training staff.
The Oriole Dog Training Club was awesome! The people were super nice. For first-timers, it really was great. They were very helpful and we got our dog measured, now, only one more measurement!
Run by mostly indifferent high handed white women. That bully people of color by isolating them for doing things they themselves do. Classes often have reactive dangerous dogs that often run loose and are never dismissed. Often times these dogs belong to instructors and even the current President of the club. The only benefit I’ve found to being a member is getting to socialize my dogs. I don’t look to this club to actually learn anything. I first became a member 11 years ago. I can count the number of black members that I’ve met on one hand. I’m starting to believe this is intentional. I’m a middle aged mathematician and senior healthcare researcher that again has been a member for over a decade. Yet whenever I interact with the aforementioned crowd they ask if I’m new and make statemen
