I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and my overall experience at this shelter. They were all very nice and helpful, even the dog walk volunteers answered questions that I had about the chihuahua I was interested in. It took me just 3 hours or so to sign the paperwork, get my chihuahua fixed, get all her immunization shots, and released for me to pick her up. There is a large amount of dogs in the shelter, so the staff is always busy. It is definitely a stressful environment for the sheltered dogs with constant barking and commotion, but the staff is doing what they can to help these dogs find a new home. This location was easy to get to and had lots of parking. My senior cat gets very stressed and struggles when she has to go in a carrier, and I was worried about her injuring herself during the struggle. The staff there understood. They allowed me to just carry her in. They were fast and thorough, and the total price for their services was much less than I had expected. I highly recommend them!

We drove a long distance just to be greeted with “We are closed. No “Hello” or “Can I help you.” Just “We’re closed, Public walk throughs an are from 1-4pm.” Pretty much a tone of “Get out.” We arrived at 4:10 pm. The hours showed open until 5pm. I had the unpleasant employee show where to find the specific hours and she said to go on the website. In order to find it, she said you have to click on “Get in touch with us” and then scroll down to find it. You won’t see us again.

While at the emergency vet, a homeless woman brought in 3 stray kittens and when the receptionist said she couldn’t keep them, the woman ran off. I offered to try to find them a shelter nearby, and to take some photos of them and post them online. I already have two cats at home and sadly can’t keep any more, but I got the kittens to the vet, de wormed, and stabilized. Because the woman’s dumping of the cats was a crime, Animal Control instructed me to bring the kittens to this shelter and told me the facility would be expecting them. Unfortunately, my experience here was extremely upsetting from the moment I walked in. We adopted out beautiful girl “lily” today. We renamed her to Saya but we just absolutely LOVE HER. The process was amazing and they are thorough in making sure they’re not just giving their animals to anyone by verifying proof of residence, etc which I can really appreciate. She’s literally perfect we couldn’t ask for better.🩷😭✨
