Olson Animal Hospital

I have been taking my dogs to Dr.Olsen for 2 years now. He is absolutely the best! My dog Toby loves the vet tech Rob and always acts like he is anxious to see him and Dr.Olsen. I honestly feel as though my other fur kid would have lived much longer if I hadn't been taking her to Dr. Ayers. It breaks my heart the difference in the treatment of the diabetes from Ayers Animal Hospital versus Olsens Animal Hospital. Abby was put through needle sticks DAILY. Her insulin was drastically changed per Dr.Ayers orders with each stick!Toby is being treated for diabetes, cushings disease, and is totally blind. And he is still doing well. After Toby went to get a tooth fixed and left in severe pain and scared to death AND did not see Dr.Ayers as promised, Toby was terrified to go back. And I can thank

I used to think Olson and his staff were great. I have taken my past 2 dogs to him. One was my English Bulldog "Charlie," who passed away at 5 due to heart issues that was never detected by him. My last dog, 3 1/2 year old St. Bernard, "Molly," I took her to him on June 12, 2025 for having a seizure. They didn't do an exam other than weigh her, prescribed her medicine for seizures..I told him she kept peeing on herself and I thought she may have a UTI. I also asked if they could do blood work. I was told just by him LOOKING at her that she didn't have a UTI and they didn't need to do blood work. I brought my dog home and started her on the medicine. She became very lethargic, I called back everyday to see if I could bring her in and have her checked for a UTI and get blood work because she

Best vet in the Huntington area hands down. Used Dr. Olson for 20+yrs now. Sends appt reminders for your pets, condolence cards when you lose a pet, and he’s just a really nice down to earth guy. Plus all his staff are just as helpful and supportive.

Additional review updated. 9-1-19. Best vet around, my 1st choice, have gone to them for years. Staff is excellent & very knowledgeable. My son also goes to Olson's exclusive. When Dr Olson had a family emergency for a while, he sent me & his patients, to Guyan Animal hospital, as he also uses them. Both vets have a working relationship, that continues, even today. A lot of time if I can't get an appt., they will ask me to try to get in at the other vet. Both, always want the best of both worlds for our fur babies. Would give 10 stars if I could.

They would not send a bill, or allow me to put a card on file for automatic payment. Even though I could provide proof of income. This is supposed to be for emergency situations. My pet died! They did offer several resources to apply for help paying for vet services. Although none of those worked out.
