Occoquan Animal Hospital

This is by far the greatest animal hospital in the area if not in northern Virginia! It's so hard to find a veterinarian clinic that cares more about the animals than money, and I can honestly say occoquan and the staff's main priority is the wellbeing of the animals before anything else. They have been taking a great care of my dogs for years and I knew they were great but yesterday what they did for my dog was beyond exptional! I noticed my dog was not breathing right and she was in distress, I put her in the car and rushed to them not knowing it was appointments only at that time. They still managed to fit me in in between their appointment and managed to help my baby!!! Dr Lauren Santangelo is so amazing, knowledgeable and she cares deeply! I started coming here because they had walk-in hours, and they had decent prices. But lately it seems every time I come in they convince me I need some random and expensive tests and these tests are always negative or inconclusive. I like the blonde skinny lady vet but some other one shamed me about his weight before. Anyway I’m glad for the walk in hours cuz if you miss your appointment they charge a 90$ late fee.

Front office staff very helpful during registration process. Wellness exam was very thorough and explained in understandable terms to us. Excellent follow up with Dr. Farge regrading lab results and medication .

Excellent clinic… very professional, caring, compassionate group of providers. I like that there are walk in hours… gives good flexibility to my pets needs. Have been impressed with every interaction I have had ( and with 2 older pets, that is many appointments ❤️)

I would never consider taking my pets to any other veterinary hospital! Dr Santangelo is unsurpassed in terms of professional competence and exhibits sincere compassion for both pets and their caretakers.
