Brought my dog in after moving to the area for annual shots. Explained to the clinic, since the move he had been very wary of strangers and asked if they were able to be extra patient with him to help ease him into a new experience since he had been adjusting to the move. Went to the appointment, vet wanted to put a slip leash over the leash and collar he had on and I asked if we could not do that. Vet said sure, like it was no problem. Appt finished, all seemed totally fine. Brought same dog back for boosters 2 weeks later, all again seemed fine. Then we got a new puppy, made appt for shots, next day get a call that they couldn't do the appt and nothing would be available til December and they would email me my other dogs records, then hung up. I want to give a huge shoutout to Northland Animal Hospital. They have been caring for my pets for over two decades now and they never cease to provide the highest quality of care. I recently brought in 3 dogs at the same time, and the end of the day. It was packed and there's no way the entire staff wasn't exhausted, but they didn't skip a beat. The price for their annual appt, and all the extras addressed from some concerns with an aging dog, was incredibly reasonable. Beyond that, there was no feelings of being rushed and the entire staff meets their patients with a kindness and compassion that can only come from their innate love for our fur babies. I've had wonderful experiences here with all of the staff. The front desk is caring and helpful, I've had several of the doctors over the years and they are all excellent. Dr aluni helped us last time when our cat was really sick, we were going there 3 plus times per week. He was so helpful, texted to check in with us, and wanted updates to ensure the treatments were working. I am so happy with this hospital and the care we received.

We have a summer home on Lake Vermilion where we go to escape the scorching heat of Phoenix summers. We also have 3 dogs, each of whom have needed vet services every summer. We're so happy with the staff at Northland that we've made them our primary vet and schedule their annual exams during the summer when we can go to Northland.

They are the best. They obviously genuinely care about their animal clients (and their people too)! 2 years ago we got a terminal lung cancer diagnosis along with a bacterial abscess on my previous dog with our old vet. Brought her to NAH for a second opinion and it was a Hallmark case of Blastomycosis and they suspected it off the x-rays and info I had sent over from the other vet's office before they even saw her. Brian did a fine needle aspirate from her lung because he knew she didn't have any time to spare waiting for the urine at test to come back. The blasto was prevalent in her lungs as well as the abscess. We tried treating it aggressively and everyone at NAH was willing to bend over backwards to save her.
