Northgate Animal Hospital

I brought my three cats to Northgate Animal Hospital for several years and generally felt the care was kind and thorough. I’m writing this review to highlight an important area where clearer communication could help other pet owners, especially those with aging cats. My senior cat, Marble, had lab work and urinalysis results over several years that showed subtle but consistent changes suggesting early chronic kidney disease. I was not made aware of this trend at the time. About a month before she declined, I brought her in for routine labs due to her age. Her kidney values were elevated and her urinalysis was borderline, but I was told everything was normal and no follow-up testing or recheck plan was recommended. I’ve received nothing short of excellent service the last couple of times I’ve been in. The last vet I went to I was very unhappy with for several reasons, so I gave Northgate a try. Dr. Bush is very down to earth, which is a huge plus. He explains everything thoroughly, educates, and provides helpful recommendations without being pushy. Thank you, again!

I brought my elderly cat to Northgate when she took a turn for the worse, and they took great care of her. It ended up being her time to pass and I had her euthanized here as well. The staff made the experience as smooth as possible, sympathized heavily, and gave me peace of mind that she was in good hands. I received her ashes back in about a week, even with the holidays. And i even received a card in the mail signed by all the staff with kind words and condolences. I’m so grateful to have found this place through this really hard time. If you’re looking for a place where they will treat your pets with the same care they would their own, this is the place.

Dr. Bush is the best vet in town. He removed a fatty tumor off our golden retriever and did such a great job of informing us how he did after surgery, explaining healing process/after care and the stitches look great. He relieved a lot of our anxieties surrounding the surgery and we also appreciate the kind staff. Thank you for all that you do!

Other than a short wait for a room, and some time to see the vet as they handled an emergency situation, the staff was extremely kind and respectful with the Vet giving me and my dog plenty of time for the examination and plenty of options for treatment. I highly recommend this hospital for anyone who truly loves their animals.
