North Shore Veterinary Hospital

After great vet care over the past few years, we had to recently put our beloved dog, Mia, down. We knew her time was rapidly running out several weeks ago due to several serious health issues. NSVH really helped blunt our sadness with their great care and compassion throughout the years since her diagnosis. On that fateful day, we chose the back seat of our Explorer as it was a favorite place for Mia. We knew it was very important for her that her life ended there. Not only were we able to comfort her but it greatly helped us with our great loss, too. Several staff came to say goodbye (in freezing temperatures) and the support we felt was very genuine and greatly appreciated. Mia lived a wonderful life with her illnesses and we so appreciate the expertise of NSVH.

This Vet. hospital is always the Best! All staff are very contientious and helpful. Very caring nature people there! We have been a true customer here for 23 years and have always received the best of care for our fur babies! This last visit was hard as we had to put down our16 year old beautiful ginger cat, Beau. He had lived a good life and couldn't tell us how much he must hurt. Dr. Ellen Anderson was very compassionate as always and she made this sad day one of a beautiful passing for our dear boy much easier to handle for us! It's always hard to lose your child furry friend but Dr. Anderson made it very barrable. Thank Goodness for people like her! RHK

We tragically and unexpectedly lost our dog — a true member of our family — and the staff at North Shore Veterinary Hospital could not have been more supportive or compassionate. In a moment of heartbreak, they treated us and our dog with such genuine care and empathy. It wasn’t “just another day” for them, even though they must see loss often. They slowed down, they cared, and it truly showed. I’m deeply grateful for the kindness and sincerity they showed.

We had our dog sent over the rainbow bridge with the aid of Dr Hargrove and staff. He came to our home and he helped her go in peace. It was just an amazing experience. I never thought that someone could be so compassionate. They treated our fur baby with so much care and made the whole visit as peaceful and caring as it could possibly be. We had another one of our babies sent to the rainbow bridge last year at another clinic and I will not share the details, but it was absolutely horrific. The experience we had with NSVH was the best. Their dedication was evident by the amount of compassion that they had for our fur baby. I would just like to tell Dr. Hargrove and his assistant thank you for your care and compassion. There is no way that they could of made the whole situation any better.

Travel from out of country to get palliative treatment for my dog. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable. They care so much about every single patient and what their owners to know they’re doing everything they can to make the process smooth and as pain free as possible. Truly with the trip to have that level of care for my dog!
