North Shore K-9

I boarded my dog at North Shore K-9 from September 25–29. When I picked him up, he had a severe eye injury that required immediate emergency referral to a veterinary ophthalmologist and ultimately resulted in the loss of his eye. I was not contacted during his stay about any concern with his condition. After pickup, we rushed him directly to the veterinarian. I’ve included a photo taken of what his eye looks like at time of pick up, showing the condition of his eye at that time and removal of eye due to damage. What was most upsetting was the lack of communication during his stay and the way the situation was handled afterward. Our border collie mix has an amazing time here! He runs right in at drop off and comes home relaxed and tired out from playing. Sammi and the crew know all the dogs so well and we really appreciate their high level of care.

I was very disappointed with North Shore K9. Based on the positive reviews, I expected a much higher level of care and professionalism. Communication was poor, staff seemed rushed and uninterested, and the facility felt overcrowded and disorganized. On top of that, pricing was unclear, with extra charges that were not explained upfront. Overall, the experience felt impersonal and not worth the cost. I would not return or recommend this business.

One star because I can't give 0 stars. They dont take responsibility for their mistakes. Especially when my pup goes to them perfectly fine and comes back injured. DON'T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR FUR BABIES!!!

My dogs love this place! The staff are very friendly and love my huskies! They get tired almost every time we pick them up! The reason for the four star rating is because I wish they have camera access from afar like some kennels do. Whether it’s day camp or boarding. The Saturday hours are difficult for some when people come back into town.. Overall awesome place!
