The staff was AMAZING. My cat has a heart condition and the staff was super helpful and gave incredibly detailed information about how it will affect her, and her to watch for. I was super concerned before the appointment, and from the first phone call I made to book the appointment, through to the end, everyone we encountered was lovely, and I could tell that they love animals! Bettie had a great experience and enjoyed sitting in the window in the exam room!

We were first time visitors to Nickerson Animal Health Center and met with Dr. Helmholt when our dog seemed to have hurt her wrist. We have just moved to town, and they had an appointment for us the same day. Dr. Helmholt and his vet tech, Katie, were both very sweet with our incredibly nervous dog. She was trembling with fear as she always is in new places, so they kept the exam simple and as non invasive as possible, meeting with her on the floor. We appreciated that they did not suggest multiple tests on first examining her, and suggested we go home with the simplest approach of an anti inflammatory and rest to see how she does before we consider any further tests or procedures. Dr. Helmholt explained his thinking on possible causes and suggested the next course of action if it is neede

We came in expecting the worst for our senior dog. Their staff is kind beyond measure. Starting with the receptionist who got us an appointment as soon as possible. We had an amazing tech named Katie, who was beyond caring, as well as Dr. Merle who is equally amazing. They were extremely kind and compassionate to us and our dog. You could feel their sympathy and then relief/happiness when we left with good news. To say they truly care about their clients is an understatement. I feel that, that is hard to find these days, as most places rush you in and out. Definitely not the case here. We’ve always had excellent care there, and would recommend them to everyone.

We were in and out in 30 minutes for our appointment. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why my Dog Coco loves to go to the vet. It’s OK, but for me it means $$$$, it’s worth it for my fur baby. This is The only veterinarian clinic he’s been to. We have a great doctor!
