HIGHLY encourage adopting your best friend from the Berrien County Animal Services! Staff does a great job of helping you find a great match for your family. We spent about 2 hours meeting all of the sweet dogs the staff recommended, getting to know backgrounds and personalities. We happened to be recommended a dog we hadn’t seen yet & fell in love with our sweet boy Cash, squirrel surveyor, lover of naps, cuddles, and all things food. So glad we drove the extra hour to them!

I'm finally ready to share our horrible experience with animal control. We had an incident and our dog for the first time ever got out. This happened on May 21st. He ended up attacking our neighbors dog who is fine now and healed. We took care of everything with our neighbor and we became closer from it. When the animal control officer showed up we were 100% compliant and knew they were going to have to put him in quarantine. I made it very clear to the officer that he was behind on his shots. He was due in January and I had an appt already set before this happened. He was due to go to the vet on June 3rd to get caught back up. I asked if he could quarantine at home because I was worried about him being around other dogs. They said no. I reluctantly handed my dog over. He was to be qu

Some how, a new rescue got let out of my shop while I was at work, neighbors had seen him around for a day and a half, got a pic of animal control Picking him up in response to a Facebook post of lost dog. Called up on Friday before lunch, they had him, made it clear over the phone of the rescue situation and had no proof of ownership besides 50 pics taken the previous week but could come up with something from previous owner, but would take some time, was told not to worry about that to get up there by 230 because that’s when they close on Friday. Was a challenge, but canceled the afternoon the first pay period of my season to barely get there in time to be told he would have to stay the weekend. As of 430 today have received the only piece of info previous owner has and it has his na
