Nickel City Canine Rescue

We adopted Panini from NCCR back in march of 2025 and the volunteers/fosters were all incredible!!! They made the process easy and comfortable, made everything they needed from us prior to being approved very clear, and helped us find our perfect puppy!! They do incredible work and help SOO many doggos and families out!!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. We will forever adopt through NCCR!!!

My family is beyond grateful to this rescue for bringing two incredible dogs into our lives. From the very first interaction, it was clear how much care, time, and love goes into every dog they save. The process was thoughtful, transparent, and focused on making sure each dog was placed in the right home which we truly appreciated. Both of our dogs were well cared for, loved, and clearly known as individuals. The rescue took the time to answer our questions, share their personalities honestly, and support us every step of the way. You can tell this is a team that genuinely puts the animals first.

I adopted Peaches from Nickel City Canine Rescue back in August 2024. This was easily one of the best decisions I have made. The volunteers are extremely friendly and helpful. I could tell the foster mom (Faith) for Peaches gave her so much love every single day before Peaches ended up with me. The rescue does their absolute best to pair dogs with the most perfect and loving home possible. It’s very obvious to anyone that has worked with NCCR that all their volunteers are amazing and more than willing to sacrifice time and money from their own lives in order to save as many dogs as possible. This is a place that will always get my support. I plan on adopting another in a couple of years and will be coming right back to them when that time comes

My family first saw Nickel City rescue at a vendor show and they had a few dogs there. I requested to meet one. His name was Tank and he was the cutest little guy. The volunteer Jenna handled everything and was able to meet him and he stayed with me that very day. He has been such an amazing addition to our family and The adoption process was so quick and easy. I highly recommend them!

Where do I begin? This rescue does not want to see success for their dogs. I applied to be a foster for a medical case dog - listed as a hospice case online. I worked at a vet’s office for five years, fostered for another rescue for many years, and have my own animals. I was abundantly clear from the beginning that some of my cats are overdue for BOOSTER vaccines. Mind you, indoor only cats. A few of which scheduled for boosters in December. They refuse to even work with me because my cats are due. Tell me, as a rescue, shouldn’t you be more concerned with finding a dog a home or a foster? ESPECIALLY when it’s a medical case. It would be one thing if my animals were never vaccinated whatsoever. It would be another if I refused vaccines. But no, I just didn’t get them in on time and I’m p
