New Life Rescue and Adoption

We've adopted two kittens here in the last 6 months. They were helpful in finding us great matches for our family, and making sure the animals were adjusting and growing well.

I can't say enough great things about this shelter. I had been searching for a companion dog for several months and had searched several different shelters plus animal control in Evansville. I came up on a dog at PHS that I was interested in. I had a dilemma .... I lived about 30 miles away Plus work about an hour away in the opposite Direction. Tina,Terry and Christian Went out of their way to make sure that I was able to meet the fur baby that I was interested in. I went to the shelter several times to spend time with this for baby and also bring my dog to get acquainted with this little guy. I needed time to make sure that bringing another dog into my home what's going to work with my dog. This group of people work really hard for the animals in their care.

They take amazing care of their animals. We have adopted two of their rescues.

The best there is! I had been taken out by ambulance from the rest area, the man from the humane society ( I never got his name) came and got my Aussie out of my truck, when I was released he brought him back to me...I can tell my dog had very little or no stress! A great service and a awesome person! It's funny how this humane society has some negative reviews about adopting dogs ....um most breeders will not release dogs to a potential owner unless they prove a fenced in area....my mom raised showdog shelties in the 1980s and 1990s and in some cases if she felt it was necessary she would do a home visit! A animal shelter dosnt want to see the dog coming back hit by a car or attacked by coyotes! You either follow the rules or don't get a dog! It's not their fault it's yours, so the negati

I am so impressed with the care and concern for their animals. I have only dealt with them on the cat side but these ladies are the best. They know each one individually as if it were their own. A drive to Mt Vernon is worth the trip to adopt through this organization.
