New Hyde Park Animal Hospital

We had to bring our beloved dog Nina in for an emergency visit at the last minute on Friday. It was one of the hardest days of our lives, as we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her rest peacefully. The entire team treated us with such compassion, kindness, and respect during an incredibly painful moment. They gave us the time we needed, explained everything gently, and made sure Nina was comfortable and surrounded by love. I apologize for not mentioning specific names everything happened so quickly and I was very emotional but they know who they are, and we are truly grateful. Every person we interacted with showed empathy and professionalism. Sometimes reviews focus on the negative, but in our experience, we felt nothing but care and support. Dr. Pellegrino, and Dr. Santora along with the technicians, and receptionists are truly great. i brought my cat, Boy back in July because he had a very bad complication due to an abnormal abscess he had removed, which was done somewhere else and he was in super bad shape when he came to new hyde park. he had gaping holes on both sides of his anal glands that were infected, he was very constipated and in lots of pain. Dr. Pellegrino was very compassionate and understanding to the situation and told me i needed to have him boarded for a few nights so that he can get proper treatment, antibiotics, round the clock cleaning and also an enema. i’m so glad i put my trust into their team because 6 days later my baby came home healed from where his infection was and he was eating and making biscuit

This animal hospital is amazing. I transferred my cat Nori here for a urinary blockage and they went above and beyond for both me and my cat. The staffs were all super friendly and amazing to work with. Everyone was super attentive and patient, especially Dr. Santora. She was so amazing with explaining everything and making sure that Nori was well taken care of. I can tell that she really cared about all the animals that she was working with. I also love how they were super accommodating with visitation and let me stay for as long as I needed when Nori was hospitalized. They are a really amazing hospital with amazing staffs and doctors.

I just wanted to thank the staff of NHP Animal Hospital for all they have done for our Kitties, Miss CC & Tippy! This is the first time Dr Pelligrino examined our cats. She is so caring and kind and put the cats and myself at ease. I would recommend Anyone who needs a Vet to NHP Animal Hospital, especially Dr Pellegrino. Thanks again for all your kind help.

Always a positive experience here. I called for an appointment for my dog who is losing some hair. Luckily there was a cancelation and they were able to see her 20 minutes later. I was home within 45 minutes of making the initial call, with medication. Everyone here is so nice and genuinely loves the animals they are caring for. My 15 year old girl, is in great hands at New Hyde Park Animal Hospital.
