We have worked with numerous trainers with our Plott Hound with obedience and more recently behavioral issues. Daisy suffered from anxiety/noise phobias and would not even want to leave our driveway. I was at my wit's end when a friend referred me to Susan. Susan created AMAZING results in the three weeks she had Daisy! The day I brought Daisy back home I stopped by work with her. Multiple coworkers asked me if I had gotten a new dog because she was calm and collected (on previous trips the entire building knew Daisy was in the building...it was very embarrassing). A few honestly did not believe me when I told them she was the same dog! Yesterday I took Daisy to breakfast, and she laid calmly under the table and even went to sleep. Before Susan, I never thought I would even be able

I am so happy and grateful to have found Susan of New Dogs old Trix to help us with my pup Bindi, a 1 year old (at the time of training) Australian Shepherd. We were having a lot of trouble training her on our own for some problem behavior, reactivity with dogs and humans being the main worry. After training with Susan, it’s like Bindi is a whole other dog! So much calmer and responsive, and so much less reactive. It’s a night and day difference. Our friends and family who met Bindi before and after training with Susan have commented on the difference. And with Susan’s guidance has helped my husband and myself become more confident and trained dog owners. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!

This free playgroup and class has been wonderful for our Boston terrier Zoe (13lbs). Zoe was very fearful of other dogs, especially larger ones, after being attacked at the local dog park. At her first playgroup Zoe needed to be kept on leash and have a constant advocate so she felt safe and didn't defense bite when approached. Now after a few months she is confident enough to be right there in the mix with dogs of all sizes! We're now working on her learning when a shyer dog isn't interested in playing to back off trying to engage them. This class has made a huge difference and Zoe comes home exhausted and happy. Susan, Brittany and Chris do an excellent job of keeping play safe and correcting any inappropriate behavior. Brittany even takes adorable photos of the dogs too. Its a

This is going to be a long one, but worth reading! I have an "extra-large" standard poodle (Mr. Knightly), now 2 years old, who is sweet, lovable, and smart. As a puppy, I thought I could train him myself, but as he grew leaps and bounds daily, I had difficulty controlling him. So I hired a puppy trainer in Chicago, who did teach him to walk on a leash, but he still chased any critter in site and was unfriendly with people and other dogs. When he was 1 year old, I moved to Tucson for the winter (2016) and enrolled him in a two week, intensive training program in Sierra Vista. Yes, after that he followed basic commands, walked well on a leash, and completely avoided other dogs and people, but he had lost his spark and personality. Wanting my dog back, I didn't follow through with the harsh

Susan is an incredible dog trainer and person. I reached out to her just two weeks after bringing home my puppy because I needed help. She was the only one out of the four or five people that I contacted that actually got back to me. I think she could sense the exhaustion in my voice and she reassured me in that first conversation of so many things that helped. She trained my puppy when he was just five months old. I was able to be involved during the duration of his three week board and train and she gave me all the skills and a write up to reference when he came home. The first night home, I had some questions and she came over the very next morning to help. Since then, she has been an amazing resource any time things have come up. I’m also grateful to be able to board with her whenever
