Native Animal Rescue

You know how you see videos online where people find cute puppies or get a kitten via the cat distribution system? Well that's not me- I always find birds. I think the universe knows I'll help them. And I couldn't help the birds if it weren't for the amazing people at NAR. I somehow ended up with two cormorants in need one day. I had the amazing Amy talk me through what to do until a volunteer could arrive to transport both birds. I was able to help the volunteer get the birds into carriers & car. I know they got the care & treatment they needed. I've also been able to transport smaller native birds to NAR as well. I am so grateful for this local organization & the volunteers who take care of our local wildlife when they are in need.

My brother saved a baby Owl 🦉 from an eagle attack their were 2 baby Owls but unfortunately the eagle killed one before my brother could get to them, contact this wildlife rehabilitation group and they were very helpful and I’m greatful they took the baby Owl in I hope he makes a full recovery

They have saved so many animals I have brought in over the years. I love that I can drop off an animal and follow up and hear how it’s doing. They’re great about getting back to People too. Very grateful for this organization. Today I dropped off an injured chipmunk and hope it makes it. One of the coolest things That I ever took in was a bunch of baby quail. They would not have made it if it weren’t for another younger quail that was already at the rescue Because it was able to teach the baby quail how to eat. Not only are they doing great work for our community and our wildlife, but our kind people and seem to have a great success rate in saving animals.

Amy and her team are amazing! They save countless animals and are always available to help and offer great advice. They assisted my friend with an orphaned baby opossum, which is now at an opossum rescue. Their work is incredibly valuable to our community, and I am so grateful that they are here.

I love Native Animal Rescue! They helped an injured pelican on Santa Cruz Wharf I had met. They came without delay and whisked him safely away! Surgery was done on his leg, fishing line had been tightly wrapped making his leg hang limp! They also removed fishing hooks they found in their gentle examination! His recouperation I followed, visiting him at the Marine Lab out at the end of Delaware in Santa Cruz, Ca. One day he was gone- he had taken flight from his open top cage and I often wonder if that’s him in the sky…
