Myrtle Avenue Veterinary Hospital

I love this vet office. They have a large staff which makes visits quick and painless. My dog actually wants to go in when we arrive which says a lot about his joy there too!

I absolutely do not recommend Myrtle Animal Vet. Today I tried to have my dog seen for an emergency situation. My dog has severe anxiety and was adopted from a very traumatic environment. All I was asking for was medication to help him stay calm so I could safely transport him for a two-hour trip today. Unfortunately, the manager refused to even ask the veterinarian if they would consider seeing him because the vet was getting ready to leave. It would have taken two seconds to simply explain the situation and check. Instead, I was completely dismissed. Mind you the dog had an upcoming Initial visit on the 20th things changed and I have to move the dog 2 hours today. As someone who deeply cares about animals, it was extremely upsetting to be turned away without even an attempt to help. W

My best friend/15-year-old cat, Ivy, had a lump on her stomach. I called a few different vets and not many places were seeing new patients in Eureka but I finally got an appointment with Myrtle Ave vet hospital and got her in. I was so impressed with the care and compassion. The vet checked her and was straight forward about the seriousness of the prognoses(cancer) and told us our options(surgery or palliative care) and was kind and patient with us as it sunk in. A second vet at the clinic also checked her and we decided to go ahead with the surgery. She's healing now and already I can see she's acting more like herself and less lethargic. I'm so happy to have a couple more years with my sweet cat and that we had such kind, compassionate care at Myrtle Avenue Veterinary Hospital. The vets,

I had called everywhere this morning to look for a vet that had an appointment at least within this week. My cat was showing signs of a UTI. Myrtle Ave Vet Hospital was able to get her in with an appointment within the hour after I called. The receptionists were all so kind and amazingly helpful. The doc and nurse both were so kind and gentle with my baby girl. We have a plan for meds and a check up appointment. Highly recommend just based off this one appointment.

Switched from a different vet to Myrtle when we adopted a senior dog. We like it here. It feels like they care about the welfare or our pets. They have vaccination days without appointment, which is nice, but go early, it gets busy.
