Mutt Medics

Last minute visit to a vet we've never been to because they were the only ones open other than an emergency vet over an hour away. They were able to see our dog same day. The staff was friendly and kind, the facility clean and bright, very inviting. Cost for a quick visit was not outrageous. We didn't really get answers, but our dog is better and that's all we really care about.

Love Dr Pointer and the rest of the staff. We travel between MO and CA and have used them twice in a minor medical emergency. Dr Pointer is thorough and caring. He does not pressure you into getting services that may not be necessary. He gave us the information we needed to make the best decision for our dog. And fees are very reasonable. Once we are in Missouri full time, we will definitely use Mutt Medics as our primary veterinarian

Update: My pug got a corneal ulcer in his 2nd eye!! Thankfully Dr. Pointer prescribed some medication that is clearing it up! 🙌🏻 One AMAZING veterinarian! I was very scared by some of the reviews thinking that my pug wouldn't receive the care that he desperately needed, however that was far from the truth! They got me in the same day with the concern that something was very wrong with my pugs eye! A concern that another vet considered normal. His eye was in very bad shape (the details are disgusting) and Dr. Pointer said it needed to be removed. He got me in immediately the next day for surgery! Today is day 2 since surgery and the swelling is already down significantly. The doctor came to talk to me personally after the procedure and informed me to come back with any concerns whatsoeve

Mutt Medics has some of the kindest and most understanding people I have ever met. I brought my puppy in for treatment, and even though they don’t have overnight care, they made sure I left with the proper medications and clear instructions to give her the best chance at recovery. Sadly, it was already too late, and my sweet baby passed away from parvo the very next day. In one of the hardest and most heartbreaking moments of my life, I picked up the phone and called them, completely hysterical. The staff on the other end of the line didn’t rush me, didn’t dismiss me—they listened, they showed compassion, and they tried to gently walk me through the next steps of what to do and how to bring her in for cremation. Skip this overpriced wellness center and go to a real animal hospital in an emergency. Had I went to a real animal hospital it would have saved my dog's life who died after a visit with this doctor. There's a hospital just a few blocks away and I don't understand why they couldn't bring themselves to recommend and instead the DR told me to go to Springfield or Bentonville. I won't return to this business who I feel put my loved one second priority above money and being anti competitive. Read the negative reviews on Google that talk about deaths of other peoples pets and you'll feel how I feel.
