Happened awhile ago, but still stewing over the experience. We went for a euthansia and beforehand I asked the tech specifically if they placed an IV cath then administer propofol before euthasol. She said yes, and when the time came there was an IM injection that my family and I where unfamiliar with that made them uncomfortable when our pet freaked out with the IM injection. I asked the vet what the injection was, and it was not propofol. I understand the process of euthanasia is different at different clinics, but when I ask a question DO NOT just blindly say yes when you don't understand what I'm talking about otherwise we would have went elsewhere to accomodate us. The most amazing doctor and nurses they care about the owners of the pets there taking care of not just the animals. They have very fine and fair prices on everything they do for your pets. We were passing through town with our dog when he suddenly started to get overheated. The receptionist let us come inside and helped us cool off our dog, gave him some water and ice pack before we got back on the road. She also made sure we knew what other animal hospitals we would pass as we continued our drive incase he needed care. Harris is now cooled off, and much better thanks to a very kind receptionist who helped us in an emergency!
