Mount Dora Veterinary Hospital

I brought my dog Phoebe in after she suddenly became very lethargic and could barely move, and the team took incredible care of her from the moment we walked through the door. Paulina was so compassionate and gentle during intake, she immediately made both of us feel at ease. Dr. Tony was outstanding. He was thorough, kind, and took the time to explain everything clearly so I understood exactly what was going on with Phoebe. His calm, knowledgeable approach gave me so much peace of mind, and thanks to him we got answers and a solid treatment plan. The entire staff was warm, efficient, and truly caring. You can tell they love what they do and treat every pet like family. I’m incredibly grateful for their help and for the comfort they gave both me and Phoebe.

Alex and Duke Cortland are new canine members of Dr. Kristine and the care and attention they give my fur babies was beyond professional and excellent . All of the staff is phenomenal and always ready to answer and resolve any questions or concerns I have or had with the assurance my fur babies would be in the best of hands and care. I will continue to bring Alex and Duke there for their care until their time is up here with me and they go to heaven and cross over their rainbow bridge .... a BIG WOOF!! from Alex and Duke and a thank you to all at Mt. I first went to Mt. Dora Vet Hospital about a year ago and really liked it. The staff was great, I felt that the Dr. was giving me good advice, etc., but I went back about a month ago and was really disappointed in the excessively long wait time in the lobby and the Dr. that saw my cat. I took my cat in for a blood draw and quick look over. My cat was taken to the back to get a blood draw (that set me back $500) and when they brought her back to me, I was told they examined her "while she was in the back with us". They didn't tell me what they looked at, any conclusions from what they supposedly looked at . . .they didn't tell me anything, really. When the Dr. called me to go over the blood test results, I had to ask if anyone looked at my cat's teeth while we were there. I was told,

We have taken all of our dogs here for 20 years. The service and caring of ALL of the staff and Doctors is exceptional. They really care about our pets. They answer the phone and keep you informed about all of the aspects of whatever is going on with our dogs. We couldn't be happier with this vet and would recommend to anyone that is looking for a caring facility that goes over and above all other vets in the area. Thank you all for being so kind and loving to our fur babies!

It's so nice to have a vet office that is open 24 hours over the weekends! Our dog developed a bad anal gland infection that needed immediate attention. I was able to get him in as soon as I drove there. We were seen immediately by an extremely helpful staff. Jason was very nice to work with and the vet was so friendly and caring for my dog. They offered 2 treatment options and send me home with all the meds we needed. Even a cool cone for his head so he would not lick his wound. I was very impressed with this emergency vet hospital and recommend it to anyone that needs pet treatment.
