Middletown Veterinary Hospital

Middletown vet hospital is always great. They seem to really care about my dog and are so accommodating with appointments, reschedules, etc. Prices are fair, vets and techs are very knowledgeable. Im very grateful for them and would absolutely recommend!

We were happy that our cat, “CC,” aka Cecilia, was able to receive a full workup, IV fluids, and an antibiotic shot after the rough day she had post-plant-eating. We were extremely pleased that CC was able to be seen so quickly— the very next day— and that we were called back to schedule an appointment, right away. I called and left a message the night before, around 6:30/7:00pm, when the business was closed, and I received a call back approximately 13 hours later. Really impressive. Everyone is always very kind and helpful. With CC’s former provider, we never felt like transparency/communication was a priority. Things are different, here! We brought our newest family member, Denny, here for his first wellness visit, tests and preventatives this afternoon after finding him on our front porch 2 days ago. We were easily able to schedule a visit with little wait time. The entire receptionist staff, assistants, techs, and our doctor were so kind, informative and honest. They made us and our new cat feel comfortable and we look forward to bringing all 3 of our cats here. Thank you!

I will stay far away from Dr. Ruller. Just got home from the Vet for my Cavapoo's first health visit since with me. Dr. Ruller, who didn't introduce herself had the worst attitude. When my 9 year old daughter gently picked up the puppy instead of kindly telling her a better way to hold him, she said "you're going to rip his arms out of the socket" in a rude tone. I addressed it, she had an even worse attitude saying " well I don't him to get hurt", implying that we're ok with him getting hurt. Then she asked me if I wanted to get my puppy "castrated" not neutered, but castrated. Who says that? Then I got an invoice not a health report showing what was done but what was paid. I need to see what was checked and whether it's normal or abnormal. I did ask her about a report she said something

I have been bringing my pets here for 2 years. They're a clean and professional office with really kind staff. Recently we brought in a rescue named Jill hoping to better her quality of life, only to find out that on top of two serious issues, she had AIDS. We had to put her down. They gave us as much time as we needed with her. Jill had matted gunky fur due to her issues and couldn't clean herself or allow us to. But the nurses here cleaned her up so when we said goodbye she was clean. This was very hard but the kind staff here really made it easier.
