After my sweet cat had been getting care at our regular vet for several days and coming home at night, the time came that he needed to be treated and monitored around the clock. Our vet office recommended Middle Georgia Veterinary Emergency Clinic. They were all so kind, getting my sweet Ziggy settled, keeping us informed as Dr Hudson examined him and letting us know the plan of care for the night. We were of course shocked with the estimated costs, but we were even more shocked the next morning when we were told almost half was being returned to us. The next night we pretty much repeated the night before and again received a refund the next morning. Night three unfortunately did not go as we had hoped and we got a call from Dr Hall around 3am that Ziggy took a turn for the worse and was n
My Pug was very anxious on our car trip for the Thanksgiving holiday and her current medication wasn't working to keep her calm. Stopped here and they immediately took her back. A tech kept me up to date. 2 hours later they brought her back out to me. She had calmed considerably and was back to normal. I had explained we still had a long drive ahead. She said to give her a pill in 10 hours if needed and they had given her one just a few minutes prior. The tech said that we were good to continue and that she would be fine and showed me how to give her another pill if needed after 10 hours. My Pug got a little worked up but I assumed the pill had not fully kicked in. Next I noticed she was in the back lying down. Stopped two hours after leaving vet to let both pugs out to do their b
Several weekends ago, I found myself having to take my dog for a medical emergency. Honestly, based on what I had read and heard, I dreaded it. Hear me when I say it could not have been more opposite. From the time we arrived, every single person we encountered was kind, courteous, and extremely professional. From the admin girls at the front to the nurses and the doctor, they could not have been more compassionate. They kept me updated every step of the way and told me exactly what to expect. I knew going in that wait times would be long and it would be costly and both of those things were true, but for the service they provided, they were both well worth it. They loaned me a phone charger (and a comfortable place where I could charge it), they offered me a warm place to wait rather than
After an extremely stressful two days filled with multiple vet visits and unexpected medical costs, Middle Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center stood out as the only clinic that truly prioritized communication, compassion, and patient care. From the beginning, their staff took the time to listen to me and understand my concerns instead of rushing through the appointment. They clearly explained every test they recommended, why it was necessary, and what information it would provide. I was consistently updated throughout the visit, which helped ease a lot of the anxiety I had been feeling. What meant the most was how supportive and understanding they were after learning about my previous experience at another clinic (please see my review of Animal Urgent Care for more details). This clinic was wonderful this past weekend when our precious old baby started having seizures. They did all they could all day into the night, but she kept having them. Dr. Hall and the staff were very communicative and empathetic. When we made the decision that it was time, they were wonderfully compassionate and helpful. 1st time there. Hopefully last, but with all our rescues, we'll choose them for an emergency on nights and weekends. Thank you taking care of our baby.
