I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Miamitown Equine! Our regular vet referred us here for a gastroscopy to check for ulcers, and I’m so thankful she did. Dr. Nickels and Dr. Crawford were absolutely wonderful…so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They explained everything as they went, took their time to answer all my questions, and made sure I fully understood what they were seeing and what to do next. Afterward, they went over the treatment plan and prevention steps in great detail, and even gave me a super helpful handout to take home. I had to call them due to my mini horse being down and unable to stand. They were the vets covering for my vet who was off. The vet who responded was the most compassionate and understanding vet I’ve ever dealt with. My beloved Stinger who I had for 26 years had to be euthanized. Her treatment of him made the loss less painful.

We switched to this vet a few years ago (after unfortunately having a bad experience with a vet we had used for my entire life thus far). Dr. Nickels and Dr. Hood have been amazing, and the office staff with this clinic are very on top of things. Super easy to communicate with, and they're great about helping me understand and learn. I appreciate the whole team and recommend them.

Dr. Hood and her wonderful team have taken care of my horses since I moved to Cincinnati. From reliable routine care to life-saving emergency care, this is one outstanding team. The attention to detail and genuine concern is a relief and comfort, and the responsiveness is excellent. It's a great comfort to know they're there when I need them!
