Metro Pet Vet - downtown

Metro Pet Vet is the best. I spent years in NYC bouncing from vet to vet being continually frustrated by the inability to approve prescriptions or the outrageous pricing of the more deluxe options and the rushed, chaotic atmosphere. When I moved to Lancaster I was so happy to find Metro Pet Vet. Their professionalism is top notch and they really take care to spend time with their patients and make sure that the pet parents understand what's what. Bottom line, they are kind caring and competent (to say the least). And they are right on it with approving prescriptions. I have moved on once again up to MA this time and I truly miss MPV. Thank you!

Dr Savage is so kind and compassionate! She was very supportive when I cared for my boxer with degenerative mylopothy. She was also very caring with my senior pomeranian Twinkie. She always checked in and asked about her even after I moved to Florida. I truly wish Dr. Savage could have treated Twinkie before she got sick and passed away. My mom continues to see Dr. Savage with her young sassy pomeranian. She can be a little spicy but Dr. Savage gives her the same loving treatment she gave our other pets. Dr Savage is a true gem and we are very grateful for her!

Love going to the downtown location. Dr. Savage is always super kind and helpful. Have always had great experiences with the staff and all doctors. We have take both our dog and cat there many times. Couldn’t recommend more!

Absolutely wonderful, my skittish pup had the best experience here and we were so sad to leave them after we moved! We loved popping in for a treat at the front desk on our walks, it really made my GSP associate the office with a good time! Thank you so much!

I brought my dog in for his annual check-up today, and I must say, I loved the exceptional service provided by Dr. Savage, her assistant, and the receptionist. Having had less-than-ideal experiences with previous vets, I approached this visit with a degree of caution. However, Dr. Savage immediately put me at ease. She started the visit by taking a moment to introduce herself—a small and basic gesture that the previous vets would forget to do. When my dog attempted to sneak out of the room as Dr. Savage was entering, she politely asked for permission to move him, ensuring his comfort and safety were prioritized. She then thoughtfully offered my dog a cookie, respecting my wishes when I declined. This may seem like a minor detail to some, but it meant a lot to me considering my past experie
