I took my dog in today because he has been pooping out blood, which has been very concerning. The vet spent less than 5 minutes with us. She didn’t even take the time to listen to any of my concerns or even tell me what she thinks it may be. It felt very dismissive and like the vets here do not care about your pet’s health. It was very rushed, and I have been to other vets that will take as much time as you need in order for your concerns to be heard and met. I am very disappointed. DO NOT come here.

DO NOT COME HERE Medlock Bridge Animal Hospital Many it’s nonstop a frustrating and unsettling experience. Poor cleanliness and strong odors in the facility, long and unexplained wait times, and doctors not adhering to posted hours. I felt rushed, dismissive, & I noted inattentive, me feeling unheard and brushed off during visits. LOST of trust particularly around communication and consent. Why are giving a vaccine or treatment was given without clear, explicit approval??? Overall, dissatisfied. I left feeling disrespected, stressed, and uneasy about the level of care and transparency provided from this clinic. I will not be returning nor do I recommend this clinic.

I am extremely disappointed with this veterinary office. Despite opening at 7:30 and advertising as a walk-in clinic, there was no veterinarian available first thing in the morning, leaving me to wonder what would happen in a real emergency. I was then told that the doctor frequently arrives late hardly reassuring for a business that is supposed to care for pets. During my visit, I had my dog in the room while receiving vaccines, which is standard practice for pet owners who want to monitor their pets. Yet I overheard the doctor (the owner) complaining about this through the door, showing a lack of professionalism and consideration. Vet staff is very friendly and helpful! However, I had brought in my rabbit to be spayed, and I was not given a call when she was ready to be picked up, and the vet and vet techs chose to not provide any aftercare information to me. Who knows how long she would have had the staples in her if I didn’t call and double check… This place is pretty good for routine appointments, but I can say I’m disappointed at the care of my pet during and after her surgery. I’d recommend doing your own research on a procedure before having it done here.

Maggie Hills is the groomer at Medlock Bridge AH. I've taken our longhair Norwegian Forest Cat there for as long as we have gotten him groomed. Every time he comes home, he is happier to have his coat less weighing on him. The initial visit they sedated to be safe, since he was not accustomed to going to the groomer. Every time thereafter, no sedation, and Maggie shows me how much she really cares for her animals. I'm really grateful to have her as a resource in my area. Also, this clinic accepts Care Credit, which helps people like me who can't afford my vet bills upfront. And the outcome is always fantastic- I ask for a lion cut- just look at his cute face!
