Mechanicsville Animal Hospital

Took my reactive dog here for xrays, I assumed with his demeanor he would have to be sedated and wear a muzzle. The staff was so friendly and helpful with my guy that he wasn't sedated and not only did they get the xrays they also trimmed his nails and gave him cheese! So worth the drive. The staff is incredible and so is the environment. HIGHLY recommend!

My dog is very vocal and doesn’t use an inside voice when she greets everyone at Mechanicsville Animal Hospital. Each vet we have seen has been so understanding and has given her the best care. They have made difficult diagnoses and prescribed successful treatments with love, and the staff is wonderfully kind and responsive.

I took my elderly kitty in for care this week. My vet tech, Lilly, was a kind, and reassuring presence. She made sure my cat and I were seen and cared for, all my questions were answered, and that I got to speak to the vet. Thank you, Lilly and Mechanicsville Animal Hospital team!

The staff and veterinarian physicians are so wonderful and so kind. They always explain everything during their exams. My dog loves to go for her checkups, her vaccinations, and her health care. She has no issues with the techs taking her to be weighed. I have also boarded her at the facility. She has received superb care and attention.

I began taking my dog to MAH in 2023 after moving back to the Richmond area. He had an illness, and even though he was a new patient, they got us in same day. Since day one the doctors and vet techs have been absolutely amazing. We’ve since moved a 45 min drive from MAH and added a second dog to our family, and we STILL choose to continue our visits with MAH. It’s one thing to find good vets, it’s another to find genuine vets who care equally about patients and their owners. We’ve seen Drs. Woodhouse, Perdew, and Ehreth and all three have been fantastic. Thank you, MAH staff, doctors, and vet techs. You truly are one of a kind in the vet world.
