2026: The team at Maximum K9 is truly one of a kind. All of the trainers are knowledgable and patient, creating an individual approach to your dog's specific needs. I started taking my Portuguese Water Dog, Charlie, to Maximum K9 in 2022 due to a sudden onset of reactivity. I was paired with Sherry for private lessons. Once we identified the root cause of Charlie's reactivity (nervousness and lack of confidence) we began working to build his confidence, foster better communication and focus on my handling skills so that Charlie could trust me to advocate for him. Maximum K9 has been an absolute life-saver for our bull terrier, Baci! He’s hyperactive, full of energy, and definitely a bit on the rough side - the kind of pup who truly requires trained professionals who know how to handle his personality. And that’s exactly what we found here. From the moment we pull up, Baci can’t wait to go in. His tail is wagging nonstop, and he literally runs to greet everyone. He adores the staff, and it’s obvious they genuinely care for every dog that comes through their doors. We’ve used their boarding and training program, and the results were incredible. When we adopted Russell and Brandi, I quickly realized they needed a lot of structure and obedience training to thrive in their new home. We enrolled them in Maximum K9’s 4-week Board and Train program and were, of course, nervous yet excited. Trainers Lexy and Katie were absolutely amazing with the dogs. They are highly knowledgeable and addressed all of our questions and concerns with care. During demo sessions with the dogs, they made sure to explain the process clearly so that the entire family is on board with the training. The training, desensitization, and exposure given to the dogs have completely transformed their behavior. I wish there were more stars so I could rate higher! Cannot say enough wonderful things about our trainer Toki and everyone at Maximum Canine that went above and beyond to help change our lives for the better. We had no control of our Doberman puppy and he bit our son and "pinched" our daughter so we were looking to rehome him. Friends highly recommended having Joe evaluate him and we are so thankful we did. Every day is a work in progress, but Syx has done a complete 180 thanks to his board and train. Without that basic foundation we wouldn't be where we are today, a happy family of "six/Syx"!

We were desperate to have our 8 year old Jindo stop wanting to hunt our cat as well as attack everything on our walks. We’ve had multiple trainers but nothing really worked. We are so grateful to have found Maximum K9, but especially Kayla his trainer. She completely transformed our dog. During the course of the 5 week board and train we received daily videos and notes on his progress from her. We were amazing at how he listened and how happy he was while doing it. He and Kayla developed a very special bond and that helped to transform him into a completely different dog.
