Man's Best Friend - Houston

My precious 14-year-old rescue dog, Codi, is having difficulty standing during an entire bath due to arthritis and a torn ACL on her right leg. She's ~65 pounds, has LOTS of hair and had never been to a groomer/bather (we've always bathed her ourselves). I was trying to find a groomer who had a lift that could help keep her upright during a bath but couldn't find one. I contacted 5-7 places in central Houston and Brenda at Man's Best Friend won me over (even though they don't have a lift). When I told her our predicament and my concerns, she immediately put me at ease by explaining her (and Man's Best Friend's) love of and care for older dogs saying they've handled many of their customer's animals for their whole lives. If you live in Houston, this is THE best place to board your dog. My dog Arlo can be a handful (2yo malinois) but the staff love him so much, and he loves them back. He used to come home so sad when I boarded him elsewhere, and since we made the switch to Man's Best Friend, he comes home happy which was so important to me. I really cannot thank them enough for how much they do for us. The staff are incredible, the prices are great, and I never worry about him when he's in their care.

We have been taking our German Shepard puppy to Man’s Best Friend for obedience training and have been having a great experience so far. We did not have previous experience before dog training and didn’t want our puppy to be uncontrollable. Jerry is extremely knowledgeable and has helped us navigate the behaviors our puppy is developing through a balance of proper correction and praise. Our puppy Marlo is becoming such a good companion thanks to the help of Jerry and staff. Highly recommend choosing Man’s best friend for training.

Love this place, Mandy and Craig always take are of my dog! I use their training services, boarding services, and grooming services and they are all great, would recommend them to anyone in the area!

We can't say enough great things about Man's Best Friend. The whole team has been great since day 1. We had read the online reviews and decided to Man's Best Friend to train Remi, our 6 month old Doberman. Living in Montgomery, it's certainly a haul down there but based on the results and the service we receive, it's certainly worth it. We've been taking Remi there now for 8 months. I have to make a special mention of Mandy as she trained our pup through a 2 week boarding program including protection training, and we still go back and see her regularly. She's incredibly patient, helpful and has been a total game changer with Remi. We're really impressed with what she's been able to do and very grateful that she goes out of her way to help us--even if it means replying to emails after hour
