Mandarin Pet Emergency Hospital

I cant remember the vet names who saw me and my dog Ellie , it was a woman at the end of the business day and she noticed a mass on my dogs lip and immediately told me i needed to get it biopsy and informed me she was unable to do it that day due to office closure and another vet being needed. She came back into the room and told me she wanted to be honest and thought it was a mast cell tumor and its aggressive cancer and she wanted to prepare me for the results when they came in. Results came in today and she was correct. To have a vet be so honest , kind and direct prepared me when i got the results today and i am forever grateful for her for that.

Don’t waste your time like I did. I called this place at 10:15 PM to let them know that I believed my pet ingested animal bone and whether they could perform an exam. The woman who answered the phone said yes, told me the exam fee increased after 11pm, and to call back if we planned to bring my pet in. I called less than an hour later to let her know that we were bringing my pet in and she said the doctor could no longer see my pet because they had too many animals in critical care. I questioned how they could have received so many “critical care” animals in less than an hour and her response was “it just wouldn’t be a good idea to come.” To me, it sounded like it was late and they didn’t want to be bothered. What a wonderful compassionate professionals. I brought my dog in this morning after he collapsed. They acted quickly and tried everything to save my Barkley but he passed. It was the most traumatic experience watching my dog dying but the doctors and technicians were so supportive and respectful of my feelings. They hugged me tight , they consoled me, they were sincerely touched by my lost. What wonderful humans. I will be forever grateful to each of the staff who were present today and tried their best to save the life of Barkley. God Bless them. Thank you !

7/12/24 This place is shady and wastes our time. Were negligent and delayed proper care of our dog. The doctor today met with us and basically said they didn’t cover this levee of care (yet accepted him into their care and charged us for 24 hours); why not tell us earlier and send us somewhere else? Horrible and unfair to our dog. The doctor basically told us to take him somewhere else and then wanted us to sign AMA paperwork when we discharged! Red flags all over and lacking integrity. 7/11/24 Dog brought in with symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea with lethargy. My husband was told dog would need to be admitted and hospitalized overnight before any labs or thorough medical work up was completed. Seems like a money grab. Labs were done, then my husband was told based of elevated liver enzy

We are so thankful for Mandarin Pet Emergency Hospital! The doctors and staff are so kind and compassionate. Our Garcia girl was bit twice by a water moccasin - after normal business hours, of course. We live near Waycross, GA and our local vets were all closed and unreachable. We were halfway to a place in Valdosta, GA when that office called us back and denied service because their “system crashed”. We u-turned it to head to Jacksonville while making phone calls and trying to find a place that would see us. Beyond thankful that we ended up at Mandarin Pet Hospital! Everyone was so communicative, and kind, and kept us informed at all hours of the day while she was there. They went above and beyond to put these worried pet parents minds at ease.
