Have been taking our dog here ever since he was 3 months old and he’s 12 years now. Never had health issues and for a 12 year old he’s still healthy, playful and his breath is still odorless. He runs, plays, eats and poops well. He’s over 12 already and for some time (may be a few months) he’s been licking his buttt and visibly something seem off, however we do not see any infections or sign. This week took him for a normal check up to see if there’s anything concerning and he’s a 80lb (not overweight for his size and gets enough exercise daily). He was being little cranky and the VET “Rachid Aliziane” barely touched the itchy area for even a second or 2 and said it’s cancer. “This guy is a “Cat vet” and inherently hates dogs. He did not touch the dog for 3 seconds and all he did was thro

I’ve never left a review in my life, but the bad taste this place left in my mouth was unacceptable. Between the price gouging, the unnecessary tests they run without your permission, and the vague estimates, it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. To make it worse, when I questioned why the final bill was nearly double the original estimate, the staff showed attitude instead of empathy. For the prices they charge, you’re better off going to a reputable veterinary clinic that won’t try to take you for every penny and actually cares about your dog’s well-being.

To get it out of the way, front desk staff were lovely. Now onto the bad: Cat went in for a UTI. Basic labs were drawn, revealing a high T4 level, and so Dr. Alizaine recommended starting methimazole for hyperthyroidism. When I asked about if it could be falsely high because of her illness or if it's possible the sample wasn't handled properly (since warm samples can cause elevated T4 in bloodwork) Dr. Alizaine brushed me off completely. I asked about re-testing when she was less acutely ill and he essentially told me that to wait longer to treat was to want my cat to get sicker and sicker. And so we started treatment. A week later on a Thursday we brought kitty back in because her food intake had gone down (but still eating half her normal) and asked for more bloodwork. He said no, it's

The Doctors and staff have been very caring and helpful with Bandit and Velvet. They are both 16 yrs of age and are now experiencing health problems. I appreciate their patience and compassion in working with us for the best plan of action. Many thanks from all of us. 🐾🐾

I just yesterday said goodbye to my beautiful dog of 13 years, Chiky. She was a purebred American mongrel that we got from the animal shelter for my son as a Christmas present in 2009. Malden Animal Hospital was over the top the BEST and Dr. Shinohara was beyond the BEST!! She was everything we could hope for. When Chiky first had problems of vertigo, Dr. Shinohara treated her and we had another four months before a relapse where she did not respond to treatment. She was actually quite excited to go to the vet (she loved it there), and Dr. Shinohara made sure that her last moments were peaceful. They placed blankets on the floor and my baby went to sleep peacefully with her family petting her gently. Nothing but the highest praise. I have to stop now because I am crying, but my dee
