Lucas County Pit Crew

We finished the adoption process today at LCPC and picked up our new puppy “Nessa”. It is a thorough process and we are glad it is. The staff seem to have the best interests of the dog as their highest priority. Her foster was very nice and went out of her way to accommodate us. She answered my texts promptly and did her best to move the adoption forward. The entire experience was professional and our sweet new puppy has been prepared to live with a family as well as possible. Thank you to the staff and especially her foster for their excellent service.

This is the rescue they say to stay away from. They rather have a dog rot in a kennel vs adopting it to a loving home just because you don't have a fence even though you have multiple dog parks around you. They also did not ask how much property you have... so 5 acre lot non fenced in is better then a 200 sq ft yard with a fence... I also have had special needs dogs who required weekly vet visits but somehow that's not good enough. SKIP THIS PLACE DONT DONATE. Do not even waist your time, because they cant even give you a phone number to contact. also the 5 star reviews seem to be off... maybe 1 out of 10 are real even seen a 5 star review by the name of pit crew.... so if that doesn't say something, along with the one person giving 1 star saying IDK why I was even asked to review thi

I love love my dog. I love what they do and what they stand for. But are somewhat frustrating to work with. It doesn’t feel like it’s your animal but theirs and your just housing them

When I first got my cat they said she was 8 months old. I loved her with my whole heart. I took her to the vet and they found out she’s about 9-12 years old. She later passed away yesterday morning because her heart couldn’t handle it anymore. It pisses me off that they sold me an old cat and I barely got to spend anytime with her. I’m just glad she was in a loving home when she passed away. Y’all need to put the correct age on your animals and if y’all don’t know how old they are put unknown.

We had a great experience with Lucas County Pit Crew when adopting Clover (previously Swallowtail). Everyone we've met is kind, passionate, and helpful. When we brought home our puppy she was well socialized and well taken care of. We plan to continue to attend events and support the pit crew and when we're ready to adopt again, chances are high that we'll be going through them again.
