I had a wonderful experience at this animal shelter. It was super clean and actually smelled good, which really stood out to me. The employees were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. They truly care about the animals and had so much to offer. Highly recommend.

I visited this shelter on a Monday after driving over an hour. Before coming, I called to ask what cats were currently available. The staff member told me she did not know how to answer that question and directed me to the online listings. When I later called to express my frustration, I was told the listings are updated every hour, which only made the earlier response more confusing. When I arrived, the lobby was quiet and no one else was waiting. I told the front desk that I had driven an hour and that I really wanted to go home with a cat today. Even after saying this clearly, no one asked what kind of cat I meant, whether I had other pets, or whether I wanted to meet the adult cats they already had. The Loudoun County Animal Shelter is the people and staff that make place great! Such a wonderful facility clean comment looks brand new. They are taking such wonderful care of my cat Josephine, AKA, josi w/ an i. She asked them every day, "Where is johni " and what time! will he be coming to pick her up",? which will be soon. I am so grateful that they are taking such wonderful care of her. She loves people and is more human, full of wisdom. She is my boss, she's teaching me to live in the moment. I'm not kidding. She tells me every day!!!

5 Stars - Absolutely Outstanding Adoption Experience! We recently adopted our wonderful cat Kylie from Loudon County Animal Services, and I cannot recommend this facility highly enough. From the moment we walked in on a Sunday, the process was incredibly easy and transparent. The staff, especially the person who helped us, was exceptionally helpful and forthcoming. They didn't sugarcoat anything, openly discussing which cats might not be the best fit for our family, which we deeply appreciated. This honesty made us feel confident in our decision. The entire adoption process was amazingly smooth, efficient, and stress-free.
