JW runs a first class business! I purchased my German Wire Hair as a 2 yo. That first season was my best ever! My dog, Macho, was a machine. Macho went back for a month the summer he turned 3 and he’s even better! I love how JW handles the dogs, and trains the dogs. As good as Macho is hunting he’s a better gentleman and companion. I would recommend without reservations Lone Pine Bird Dogs! They are the best.

JW was super attentive to the gun dog training and our dogs obedience needs. After two months our dog was so much further along as a fantastic gun dog and as family pet. When we picked our dog up, JW took all the time we needed to understand how to continue the training at home. We have had nothing but a fantastic experience at Lone Sage Gun Dogs. I sought out JW not necessarily for hunting training, but also for basic obedience. I wasn’t having any luck with the general “obedience” trainers getting though to my Weimaraner, who has a lot of energy and a mind of her own sometimes. I explained my goals, and JW helped me train my dog accordingly. My Weimaraner earned her NAVHDA NA title, and is practicing for her junior hunter. I am able to take her out on the Boise foothills trails with my mountain bike, off leash, with no fear that she’ll interfere with another dog, biker, or hiker. And she’s a great companion on our camping excursions. I am so thrilled with my experience, and I feel I learned as much as my dog!

JW Took great care of my silver lab. He returned phone calls and texts immediately and did not have me wondering about updates on progress. Our puppy returned a better listener along with being gun broken and being able to return birds. I definitely recommend the month-long program that Lone Sage birds provides

Josh is a fantastic dog trainer. He explains everything really well, gives examples and time for practice and checks in after each training session to see how my dog is progressing. He is also very patient and answers all my questions. Would highly recommend him for your dog training needs!
