Lexington Humane Society

We’ve adopted dogs and cats from LHS through the years and have always had great experiences. The facility is clean and the animals well cared for. Pictures of Moose and Gravyboat for cute tax!

Adorable animals and cute merch. I have fostered through these folks and everyone there is helpful and seems to love what they do! I adopted one of my fosters and got a 20% discount.

Recently adopted a 1 year puppy from LHS, and they were so helpful and wonderful. They were very busy when I was there, but they didn't make me feel rushed and made sure to answer all of my questions and provide me with everything I needed. Marvin the Martian (formerly Marz) is happy in his forever home with my GP, Watson.

I cannot say enough nice things about Grace, Caitlin, and Mikayla. They have all been wonderful. Grace is incredibly responsive and is wonderful with questions. She also really cares and makes sure that you find the right pet for you. All around amazing place! I hope I didn’t forget anyone that’s helped.

I emailed the Lexington Humane Society on August 18 because of a cat that was found. The chip was scanned and came back to the Lexington Humane Society and I went through their website to try and find information on how to return the cat to their owner. They never responded. I’m sure they’re busy but any sort of acknowledgment short of their automated response that they would get back to me in a few days never happened.
