Customer Reviews
The kennels are clean and the animals look to be well taken care of. Friendly staff, they answered all the questions we had. They sent us home with a bag of food and a welcome packet. Also, all fees are waived after the animal has been in the shelter for over 30 days! We adopted Finn🥰
I just wanted to post an update. Last February 2025 I lost my best friend due to cancer, 2 weeks after her death i said I needed a dog in my life. I eas stuck in so much grief i couldn't function. I saw 1 dog and when I tried to walk him he really pulled hard. I saw a beautiful plott hound brindle mix named Dewey. He was heartworm positive and had been shot in his leg. He had eyes that looked through your soul, so I fostered him but a few days later because I was scared. I had just lost my sophie. I ended up adopting him and moving back home up north. He is the sweetest dog ive ever met for a big dog. My friend adopted him and he lives in a big house with his friend Mr. BOO CAT. He's living his best life ever. He's 60 pounds and he like a bullet. He has so many human friends as w
Literally were so rude. All i did was ask a question and they caught an attitude. Also called twice and they were too busy to answer when there was 7 workers at the front desk when i walked in and only 1 cat in the entire building. Was also told a few times by numerous people that one of the ladies were always rude to everyone who walked in. If you do not like your job, you can easily look for another one. If you simply can’t get asked a question. Don’t work there. Thanks! I understand that there’s other work to do and things they are probably caring for. But if i walk in with a question don’t catch an attitude with me. I’m not the right person to do that with 😊
Great animal shelter. Everyone is kind and helpful. We rescued our 2 fur babies from there. One of our dogs was heartworm positive, but for $50, they complete the three injection treatment there. I have paid outright for that treatment for previous fur babies and it was over $1000 from our vet for the treatment. They also gave us leashes, toys, harnesses. They keep meticulous records and it is so easy to give our vet the full view of what's going on with our babies. The dogs are microchipped and neutered. The adoption fee is $35, but fo dogs with extended stays the fee is waived. The fee is also waived for the elderly and veterans. This shelter is great. I can't say enough good things about the facility and the people that work there.
I have worked with LASCC both personally and professionally and have found them to be so friendly, professional, transparent, and easy to work with.
