Knox County Humane Society - Cat Shelter

Needed to get a young, stray cat that had “adopted” us checked out/scanned for a chip. They worked me in same day, and were so incredibly kind and thorough with her. Very obvious that the two vets who checked on her love what they do- so patient and gentle. I will return again, this time for capping of the cat’s claws so we can prepare to bring her inside and make her a pampered pet. Thanks to all- you rock!

Knox County Humane Society is amazing. I take my cats to see the vet, Dr. Elaine. She is so good with my cats, she is is so knowledgeable, and loves to educate. The prices are unbeatable for vaccines, medicine, well checks, and other services. The staff who work there are also fantastic. Truly passionate about the animals. I highly recommend the humane society for all your pet needs.

Had our cat spayed and it was an amazing experience overall! Staff are so friendly and nice. Our baby healed so fast and back to herself just hours later after getting home as if nothing even happened. 100% recommend! Thank you all so much!

I had this stray kitty show up at my apartment last year, and I did my due diligence to try to find his possible owner (I think that someone dumped him and left him nearby, last Winter). When no owner was found, what else could I do but take him in? Being on a very tight budget, I couldn’t afford to have him neutered and all of his shots given at a veterinarian’s office. Thanks to the KCHS, I was able to have all of this work done for an affordable price! And the people there were very nice! 😊 Keep up the great work and making it affordable for people like me who have taken care of a stray off of the streets, and eliminated the threat of him being responsible for making more stray kitties! 🐈
