Kinship Dog Training Arena

Kinship is awesome! We got a new rescue Doberman puppy, and we’ve been taking her to Kinship puppy/training classes for the last few months for training and socialization. She continues to make great progress, and we’re now doing Kinship ‘field trip’ classes to local parks in order to advance her skills with more real world distractions. It has been great training for my wife and I as well as for our puppy, since it has been 9 years since our last puppy (who had a totally different personality). We have really benefitted from learning (in some cases re-learning…) puppy parenting skills and getting advice and moral support along the way. We have had classes and/or private training sessions with Ali, Jeanne, and Jill who have all been amazing. Highly recommend!

Any time someone asks about our pup’s training, I can’t help but rave about how much we LOVE Kinship! Our girl (a highly active herding breed with some fears) has been coming to Kinship ever since she was 8 weeks old, and at almost a year we are eager to keep coming back! In every class, we’ve felt welcomed into a supportive environment with personable, friendly, expert instructors. The benefits of classes here (from puppy 1 to advanced control unleashed) are too many to number. Ali, Jeanne, Jill, and the whole community are truly there to help you build an amazing relationship with your dog, and they know how to help you create habits to live the life you want with your furry friend. We are endlessly grateful for the skills and community we’ve been given at Kinship!

Kinship lives up to its name! One feels an immediate kinship with the place, other people and their dogs, the amazing trainers and most of all, the co-owners, Jill and Ali. The trainers not only deeply care about you as persons. They care that your relationship with your dog is optimal and mutually fulfilling. Their skillfulness is second nature and second to none.

I cannot recommend Ali Peace and Kinship Dog Training enough! Ali is a wonderful trainer that knows how to read and train dogs. We're on our third session and I'm blown away with what I've learned, what I've learned about my little girl, and what she's trained my little girl to do. Ali is patient and kind and the most important aspect of the training is the pup. Seeing how far my little girl has come in just a few sessions has blown my mind and filled my heart with such joy. I can see my Charlotte loves her time with Ali! I'm so grateful to Ali and my veterinarian who recommended Kinship. The facility is spacious and beautiful. I can't wait to continue our sessions!

With two new collie puppies added to our family, we decided to sign up for Puppy 1 at Kinship this summer. I am so happy we did! Jeanne is a wonderful instructor—knowledgeable, supportive and caring. She is very responsive via email and will spend time after class helping you troubleshoot training roadblocks. For example, we had a resource guarding issue and Jeanne responded with a variety of helpful resources and a summary of her recommendations. If you are looking for puppy or dog training, I highly recommend Kinship.
